Bubble Pricing 2026: Plans Limits and Real Cost
|
Quick answer Bubble pricing in 2026 runs from a free plan up to Team at about $349 a month on annual billing. Starter is about $32 and Growth about $119. Plans are metered by workload units, which count page loads, workflows and database actions, not by users. Go past your monthly allowance and you pay overage or move up a tier. Estimate your workload before you pick a plan. |
Bubble's pricing looks friendly at first glance. A free plan, then $32, then $119. You'd expect a business app to land somewhere in the middle and stay there.
Then the first busy month arrives. Bubble doesn't bill for users the way most tools do. It bills for work. Every page load, every workflow and every database search eats into a monthly allowance, and a busy app eats it quickly.
So this guide explains the plans, shows what overage looks like in real numbers, and covers what to watch for if you're building an internal tool. We'll also look at the alternatives.
How does Bubble pricing work in 2026?
Bubble pricing has two moving parts. There's a plan tier, which sets what you can do. And there's a workload allowance, which sets how much you can do it.
What workload units are
Workload units, or WU, are Bubble's meter. Page loads, workflows and database operations all spend them. Each plan includes a monthly allowance. Use more and you pay overage, or you move to a higher tier.
That makes cost harder to guess than seat pricing. Two apps with the same number of users can have very different bills, because one runs heavy workflows and the other doesn't.
Billing is per app
Bubble bills per app, not per account. A second app needs its own plan. Keep that in mind if you plan to build several internal tools.
Bubble plans compared
Prices are in US dollars per month as reported by review sites that checked in autumn 2026. The annual column is the monthly equivalent when you pay for a year. Monthly figures were less well verified.

Review sites disagree on a few prices. Some report higher Starter and Growth figures for the web plus mobile track, which costs more than web alone. Check bubble.io before you buy.
What Bubble really costs when usage grows
One review puts overage at $0.30 for every 1,000 workload units. Take a Starter app at about $32 a month that uses 300,000 units in a busy month. That's 125,000 over the allowance.
-
Overage. 125,000 units at $0.30 per 1,000 is $37.50.
-
Total. About $69.50 for the month, against $119 for Growth.
So overage can be cheaper than upgrading, up to a point. You can also switch overage off, but then the app can go down when you run out. Neither choice feels great on a payroll day.
Add-ons and extra costs
-
File storage. Extra storage costs about $3 per 100 GB a month.
-
Plugins. Premium marketplace plugins are priced by their developers.
-
Outside services. Stripe, Twilio and similar tools bill you separately.
-
Database limits. Storage limits and overage pricing aren't clearly stated on the pricing page.
-
Editors. Starter has one editor. A second needs Growth.
-
Peak load. Complex workflows at busy times can push you up a tier.

Is Bubble a good fit for internal tools?
Bubble was built for customer facing products and SaaS prototypes. It can run internal tools too. The upside is that headcount doesn't set the price, so a large team using a light app costs little.
The downside is the learning curve and the meter. Approval flows and dashboards with big searches use workload units fast. If your tool is purely internal, a builder made for that job may be simpler to price.

How KodeFlex fits
KodeFlex is an app builder for internal tools like approvals, trackers and admin screens. See the KodeFlex product page for what it does. It's licensed by edition, not per user, and there's no workload meter in the pricing.

Where KodeFlex does not fit
If you're building a customer facing product, Bubble is made for that and KodeFlex isn't. KodeFlex isn't for consumer apps or software that is itself your product either. It's for tools your own team uses.
A worked example
This is an illustration, not a case study. A company runs one approval app for 60 staff.
-
Bubble Growth. About $119 a month on annual billing is $1,428 a year, or $4,284 over three years, before any overage.
-
KodeFlex Professional. $2,499 once on the lifetime licence, covering 120 users and 50 apps.
They aren't the same product and Bubble's bill could be lower or higher with usage. Still, one cost repeats and the other doesn't.
Common mistakes when budgeting for Bubble
-
Pricing by user count. Bubble prices by workload, so estimate that instead.
-
Forgetting per app billing. Each app needs a plan.
-
Ignoring busy months. Plan for your peak, not your average.
-
Trusting one review site. Prices vary, so confirm on bubble.io.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Bubble pricing cost?
Bubble has a free plan. Paid plans run about $32 for Starter, $119 for Growth and $349 for Team per month on annual billing. Enterprise is a custom quote.
What is a workload unit?
A workload unit is Bubble's usage meter. Page loads, workflows and database operations spend them. Each plan includes a monthly allowance.
What happens if I go over my workload units?
You either pay overage, which one review puts at $0.30 per 1,000 units, or you upgrade. You can turn overage off, but the app may stop working when units run out.
Does Bubble charge per user?
No. Bubble charges by plan and workload, not by the number of people using your app. Editors are limited by plan.
Is Bubble good for internal tools?
It can work, but it was built for customer facing apps. Our guide to Bubble alternatives lists tools built for internal use.
How much does KodeFlex cost?
Lifetime licences cost $1,499 for Team, $2,499 for Professional and $3,199 for Enterprise. Annual licences cost $3,699, $5,199 and $5,899. See KodeFlex pricing for limits.
